Jean Clement, owner of Limelight, received the Our Heroine Award from the Riverside Humane Society Pet Adoption Center in recognition of her professional contributions to the organization. Denise Perry, executive director of the society, presented the award to Jean at their 12th Annual Comedy Night held in October 2009 at the Riverside Convention Center in historic downtown Riverside, CA.
For the past three years Clement has supported the society by providing public relations, marketing communications, and promotional services. She also has developed relationships on behalf of the Society with print and electronic media in Southern California.
The evening’s event, which featured juggler/comedian Jack Kalvan and stand-up comic/TV comedy writer Jan McInnis, as well as a silent auction, raised $46, 600 to support the homeless cats and dogs awaiting adoption at the Pet Adoption Center.
