Jean Clement, Principal
Jean has more than 30 years of experience in communications. Prior to founding Limelight, she owned and operated a public relations firm in suburban Boston.
A native of Massachusetts, Jean served in management and specialist positions with film distribution, retail and high-tech companies. Her work included public relations, product publicity, sales promotion, and employee and customer communications.
After one too many layoffs in the volatile high-tech world, Jean decided it was time to strike out on her own. She has since been providing her expertise to both for-profit and not-for-profit businesses.
She has received awards and recognition for her work from Inc. magazine, the Advertising Club, and corporations. She is a past member and director of associations in Massachusetts focused on communications, health and sports.
Prior to her current career, Jean spent a few years as a mechanical drafter of power transformers for General Electric before earning a bachelor’s degree in mass communication and public relations from Boston University.
Jean devotes her spare time to her passion: animal welfare. She has worked for many years as a volunteer with animal shelters and rescue groups, as well as on her own. Her work has included dog training, emergency sheltering, feral cat trapping and socializing, and cat fostering. She also served on the board of a no-kill animal shelter and clinic in Thailand.
